A pre-race meeting is required for course information.

The start is just off from Alpine Village Beach...

Everyone is given time to assemble at the start.

Heading for the first of four marks on the closed course.

Heading for home after rounding the last mark.

After the kayak/bike transition 3.8 miles of secondary town roads.

An end to the tar. All off-road from here.
 

A short .25 mile logging area. It can be wet.


On to a log landing and then onto dirt roads..
 

Turn right on the well travelled Pleasant Valley Road.


Right turn onto less travelled road. Slight continueous upgrade.

 

 

Turn right to start a .75 mile off road section.

Wet approach to cautious downgrade.
 
A well marked difficult downhill section at mile 5.5.

Varying terrain after downhill.
 
The course can be muddy at times.
 

A slight downhill at the end.
 

A slight downhill brings you back to dirt roads for a while.
 

.7 miles of rolling road to the Denmark Road.
 

Major intersection at the Denmark Road. Volunteers on site. Water and Gaitor Aid.
 

Across to the Long Pond Road. Just logged. No traffic.
 

No rest. Lots of soft sand.
 

Right turn onto snowmobile trail.
 

1.0 miles of trail.
 

Out of the woods and onto Long Pond Road.
 

Onto the Denmark Road for a short stint.
 

Down the Warren Road for 3.57 miles. At least there's shade.
 

End of the dirt roads. Water available here. Mile 11.5
 

 




Finally off from town dirt roads with a right hand turn at Pratt's Farm.

Approaching Pratt's Hill.

This hill is 700 ft long with a 125ft elevation change and several diagonal drainage ditches cut into it. Everyone carries.

Single track from here on.

A 1/2 mile downhill. Be careful of the drainage ditches.

Near the end. A 1/2 mile climb to the ski slopes.

Final leg. Down the ski slopes to the transition to the run.

Transition to the run.

First leg of the run. Straight up the main.

Left at the top of the main and on towards mid station.

Nice view......hard climb.
